A Zhong Tong bus carrying passengers on the South Africa-Maputo route was seized after 100 boxes of illegally transported pistol ammunition were discovered in the compartment.

The seizure was the result of an inspection at the Km4 gas station in Ressano Garcia, at around 2.11am last Friday (4), carrying 100 boxes of Nobleteq 7.65mm pistol ammunition (1×50 units), according to "Notícias".

According to the source, the seizure was made possible by checking a hidden compartment where 100 boxes of pistol ammunition were found, which did not have the proper legal documentation, to which reference number 018/DARG/2025 was assigned.
