A group of Renamo members, sympathizers and former warriors filed an injunction this Friday (03) with the Maputo city court against the leadership of the party led by Ossufo Momade, demanding the holding of the national council.

With the injunction submitted to the Maputo City Court, the former Renamo guerrillas, quoted by the newspaper "The Country" demand the departure of Ossufo Momade from the party leadership and force the convening of the national council.

The lawsuit also calls for Ossufo Momade and his security guards to be held responsible for assaulting the demonstrators when they gathered at the party's headquarters.

Since the announcement of the election results by the National Electoral Commission (CNE) last October, internal disagreements within the Renamo party have risen to a fever pitch, even forcing the closure of the party's headquarters.
