A sweets factory that began operating in Angola in October 2022 is already exporting its products to African markets, namely Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and Zambia.
This month, the company sent a 16-ton container of sweets to Mozambique, as well as to Zambia. In March of this year it sent more than a million tons to São Tomé and Príncipe, writes the newspaper's economic supplement News.
The Candy Factory, which produces sweets, has already exported around 40 tons of sweets, lollipops and pastilles to these countries, and plans to visit Cape Verde, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Congo (Brazaville), Ivory Coast and Ghana.
In the Angolan market, the company has more than five thousand points of sale. The investment in the infrastructure, around 15 billion kwanzas (1.7 billion meticais), is the result of a partnership between the Serbian group Nelt and Angolan company Oxbow. It has a production capacity of 6,700 tons per year and occupies an area of 24,000 square meters.
