The Mozambican Association of Religious Women and Development (AMUREDE) calls on society to join forces so that the demonstrations that have been taking place in the country do not compromise the celebration of Christmas, which symbolizes the birth of Jesus Christ.
The appeal was launched this Wednesday in Maputo by Pastor Maria Helena Muianga, of the Sião União Apostólica Cristã de Moçambique church, according to Rádio Moçambique.
According to Muianga, who is also an AMUREDE Councillor, Mozambicans should not be shaken and that together in prayer they will overcome this situation.
The pastor stressed that the attitude of Mozambicans should be one of understanding, peace and brotherhood, hence the need for reflection aimed at finding a solution to the post-election crisis.
