Amazon accused of enabling racist behavior

A group of workers at Amazon warehouses near Chicago have formally filed complaints in the state of Illinois, USA, where they accuse the company of allowing racist behavior and death threats to black workers, writes the News to the Minute.

According to the source the complaints filed include racist and threatening 'graffiti' in the women's bathrooms and allegations that other workers use symbols such as the flag of the Confederate States, which advocated the maintenance of slavery in the US in the 19th century. What's more, these workers claim that team leaders have ignored their complaints.

"Amazon works hard to protect our workers from any form of discrimination and to provide an environment where workers feel safe.

Hate and racism have no place in our society and is certainly not tolerated by Amazon," reads the company statement shared by CNet.
