The Mozambican writer Álvaro Fausto Taruma launches tomorrow (July 21) at the Portuguese Cultural Center the book "Recolher Obrigatório do Coração". It will be broadcast live through Alcance Editores' social platforms, Facebook and Instagram.
"Recolher Obrigatório do Coração" is a book that revisits the writing that Álvaro Fausto Taruma has accustomed us to throughout his legacy of literary creation, which begins with "Para uma cartografia da noite", passing through "Matéria para um grito" and, more recently, "Animais do Ocaso".
These collections are immediately linked by the alternating practice of the prose poem and verse, corresponding to the mapping of an inner geography and the search for an outlet through which to release the insomniac burden.
The tone of the poems collected in this book is intimate and confessional, as in a subject that is faced with the practical impossibility of his passions and draws the curtains and windows of his heart inward.
Álvaro Fausto Taruma, born in 1988, has a degree in Sociology with a minor in Anthropology and has worked as a teacher.
Currently he has been focused on content creation for film, radio, television and digital media, working for commercial brands and creative agencies in Mozambique, Angola and Portugal. He was one of the winners of the BCI prize for literature, 2018 edition, with "Matter for a Scream".
