From January to November, the company Águas da Região Metropolitana de Maputo (AdRMM) collected 226 million meticais, a target considered historic, in a year in which all the established objectives were fully met.
In the same period, billing levels stood at 100%, similar to the production, distribution and maintenance targets, although there is still a need for more investment to ensure a full response to the demands of customers and consumers in the Maputo Metropolitan Region.
Despite these results, according to the Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of AdRMM, Castigo Álvaro Cossa, the company still faces some challenges, such as mitigating illegal consumption, vandalization of the system's organs, among others, although there is a redoubled effort to eradicate it, through the Accelerated and Integrated Loss Reduction Program (PAIRP).
"The results in 2022 reinforce the importance of our company, even in situations of extreme adversity. We have successfully maintained business continuity, ensuring that families, companies, hospitals, markets and other institutions are served with a higher level of excellence," said Castigo Álvaro Cossa, who was speaking on Friday, December 2, in Maputo City, at the opening ceremony of the company's Extended Board of Directors.
During the year just ended, AdRMM invested in training and developing the skills of its employees, both inside and outside the country, as well as promoting gender, which led to an increase in the number of women in management positions, which rose by 23% compared to the average of recent years.
"It was also possible to establish better working conditions by improving the working environment, resources and incentives to stimulate human resources," he concluded.
