International rating agency AM Best has reaffirmed its assessment of Fidelidade Moçambique's financial strength, giving it high financial and management strength ratings.

The agency, which specializes in risk assessment in the insurance segment, considers that the Insurer has a "history of solid results" in Mozambique, "despite operating in a challenging market context", attesting that "Fidelidade Moçambique maintains a solid competitive position in the national market", reaffirming itself "as the third largest insurer" in the country.

AM Best confirmed the Insurer's Financial Strength Rating with a 'B' rating ('fair', i.e. intact and adequate) and its Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating with a 'bb' rating (also 'fair'), keeping the outlook for these credit ratings stable.

Fidelidade Moçambique thus reaffirms the rating it achieved between 2019 and 2022, and is the only Mozambican insurer with an international rating.

The ratings reflect the soundness of Fidelidade Moçambique's balance sheet, which AM Best assesses as strong, along with the robustness of its operational performance, business profile and enterprise risk management.
