After all, did Zimbabweans also vote in Mozambique's General Elections?

Afinal, zimbabueanos também votaram nas Eleições Gerais de Moçambique?

A significant number of supporters of the Zimbabwean party, Zanu PF, including a former councillor, voted in Mozambique's General Elections on Saturday.

According to the DWIn an interview with the Zimbabwean newspaper "New Zimbabwe", former Zanu PF councillor Edison Manyawi surprisingly boasted that he had voted for Frelimo on camera, even though it was illegal.

"We're happy with what we've done because Mozambique is our neighbor and helped us during the liberation struggle, so we wouldn't hesitate to help them win the elections," said Manyawi.

The newspaper also reports that hundreds of Zimbabweans voted in Masvingo, Chegutu, Mutare and Harare.

Young and old were given Mozambican identification documents and authentic voter cards before being instructed to vote for Daniel Chapo, the presidential candidate of Frelimo, a friendly party in Harare, the publication adds. The Mirror reports on the electoral crimes with images and testimonies.

In April, another Zimbabwean newspaper, "The Mirror", reported on the illegal registration of thousands of Zimbabwean citizens to vote in Mozambique.

According to the Zimbabwean website, "the registration process was so brazen that three Mirror reporters are among hundreds of Zimbabweans registered at a station in Nemamwa Growth Point, 25 km south-east of Masvingo".

The Zimbabwean Historical Party is a comrade formation of Frelimo, also a historical party. There is a feeling of mutual support between them at all times. Zanu PF is often accused by the local opposition of collaborating in electoral fraud in neighboring countries.

This is not the first time that Zimbabweans have been accused of voting illegally in Mozambique.
