The supply of drinking water to the cities of Maputo, Matola and Vila de Boane has been gradually re-established since the evening of Sunday 12th by AdRMM - Águas da Região Metropolitana de Maputo, SA.
As previously announced, AdRMM was forced to suspend the service of supplying the precious liquid, following the worsening of the hydrological situation, which led to an increase in water discharges into the Umbelúzi River, the main source of water for the Umbelúzi Water Treatment Plant (ETA-U), and the collapse of electricity pylons that feed the ETA-U.
Once the technical conditions were in place and the rainfall and water discharges were reduced, AdRMM resumed its services on a restricted basis.
AdRMM thanks its customers for their understanding of the inconveniences resulting from this natural disaster and recommends that the alternative water supply plan announced here be adhered to.
