ADDP invests over $30 million in development projects

The People to People Development Agency (ADPP), a non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in the country, invested around 36.2 million dollars last year in health, education, nutrition and environmental projects, among others.

The money was used to provide humanitarian assistance to more than six million people, including young people, women and children living in the country's cities and rural areas.

According to ADPP's executive director, Birgt Holm, the humanitarian assistance was made possible thanks to the support of the government and cooperation partners such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Union (EU), the World Bank and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

"In 2022, ADDP invested 36.2 million dollars in education, health and agriculture projects in Mozambique," said Holm, quoted by AIM, this Thursday at a press conference held in the city of Matola to mark the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Schools for Teachers of the Future (EPFs), which coincided with the launch of the organization's Annual Report.
