UNHCR to provide basic services to 800 families who were refugees in Malawi

ACNUR vai prover serviços básicos a 800 famílias que estavam refugiadas no Malawi

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), will provide basic hygiene and sanitation services and civil identification to more than 800 families who were refugees in Malawi, due to the floods.

The UNHCR/Action Aid Project Officer, Alberto Massara, revealed to Radio Mozambique that funds are already available to finance the activity, which includes the supply of tents.

It should be noted that earlier this week government authorities repatriated at least 800 families out of a total of 1,600 who had taken refuge in Malawi since January due to natural disasters in Zambezia province.
