Artisanal fishermen will be able to work in an alert system to prevent maritime accidents throughout the country, the institution responsible for the area said.
To this end, the National Sea Institute (INAMAR) is mapping more than 450,000 artisanal fishermen across the country, with the aim of integrating them into the same alert system.
The information was provided this Sunday by Leonildo Chimarizene, spokesman for the National Sea Institute, quoted by Rádio Moçambique.
The source also said that the system will allow artisanal fishermen to receive, via their cell phone, an alert issued by INAMAR before the occurrence of bad weather, characterized by strong winds and cyclones.
