Universal Power Access: Fifty administrative posts have already been electrified

Fifty administrative posts have already been electrified in the country since 2020, as part of the Universal Access to Electricity by 2030 initiative.

Of the fifty, forty were electrified through the national electricity grid and another ten through alternative sources.

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, says that the rate of access to energy in the country is growing steadily, and that the government remains committed to the cause.

"We believe that this year, this new FUNAE paradigm is in itself a foundation that will give greater sustainability to the programs that the government is carrying out in the energy sector throughout the country," said the Head of State.

The Head of State was speaking this Thursday in Mapulanguene, Magude district, Maputo province, at the inauguration of the local electricity grid, an infrastructure powered by a photovoltaic plant. (RM)
