Absa Bank Moçambique was awarded the Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility in Mozambique by Euromoney, an international financial publication with over 50 years' experience in the market.
This award reinforces the Bank's commitment to the country's economic, social and environmental development. Its actions have a positive impact on the communities where it operates, through its commitment to various Corporate Social Responsibility actions, including environmental protection, social inclusion, youth empowerment and gender equality in the communities where it operates.
According to Tânia Oliveira, the Bank's Marketing and Corporate Relations Director: "We strive to create a brighter and more equitable future for all. We are pioneers in financial education for children with special needs, we are committed to our young people through the Ready to Work Program, which has already benefited more than 11,000 young people and we are proud to have achieved gender balance, with 50% of our workforce made up of women."
