Polytechnic and BAT agree on training of final-year students

A Politécnica e BAT acordam sobre formação de estudantes finalistas

The Polytechnic University and British American Tobacco Mozambique (BAT) have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which aims to formalize an agreement for the professional training of students from this higher education institution in that company.

Through this agreement, which lasts for two years, it is expected that students will acquire technical and practical skills for their insertion in the labor market and for the development of their professional careers.

On the occasion, the rector of the Polytechnic University, Narciso Matos said he was confident that the agreement will bring benefits to the parties involved, especially to the students.

"Through these memorandums, the professors not only transmit knowledge to the students, but also follow up during the internship and insertion in the job market," Narciso Matos said.

For her part, BAT's Human Resources Director, Marie-Anne Laurence, pledged to provide professional internship opportunities for graduating students or finalists.

"This agreement we have just signed aims to identify talent in our institution. BAT has prospects from this relationship to develop talent and share knowledge," concluded Marie-Anne Laurence.
