The President of the Republic addressed a message to the entire Muslim community in Mozambique on the occasion of the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
In his message, Daniel Chapo considers Ramadan to be a period of devotion, marked by fasting, prayer and strengthening the relationship with God, but also of solidarity and compassion towards those most in need.
He stresses that in this holy month, the values of sacrifice, humility and love for others are lived intensely, promoting inner peace and collective well-being.
"The spirit of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect between different faiths strengthens us as a people and inspires us to walk together towards a future of progress, harmony and sustainable development," the message reads.
The Head of State urges everyone to strengthen the bonds of fraternity and solidarity, values he considers essential for building a fairer and more inclusive country.
"May the example of dedication and discipline shown during the Ramadan fast be a stimulus to all of us in promoting peace, understanding and social justice. May this holy month bring blessings, health and prosperity to every Mozambican family. May the sacrifices and prayers be accepted, and may everyone's faith be strengthened even more," said the President, who ended by wishing, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Mozambique and himself, a Ramadan Mubarak.
