From tomorrow, the country will observe three days of national mourning for the death of Sam Nujoma, the former President of the Republic of Namibia, who died of an illness on February 8 in the town of Windoek.
The decision was taken at the 4th Session of the Council of Ministers. During the period of mourning, the national flag and the presidential pavilion will be hoisted at half-mast throughout the country and in the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Mozambique.
Sam Nujoma founded and heroically led the Namibian people during the darkest hours of the liberation struggle until they achieved freedom and independence on March 21, 1990.
