Yesterday in Maputo, the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, highlighted the importance of economic diplomacy and projecting Mozambique's image internationally.
Chapo was speaking at a meeting with the heads of the country's diplomatic and consular missions abroad.
"Mozambique's image is in your hands, it's in our hands and we all have to work for it," he said, quoted by "O País".
He highlighted the visible results of diplomatic work, especially in building trust with the Bretton Woods institutions - the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
The Head of State also took the opportunity to thank the diplomats for their dedication and competence in their mission to represent Mozambique and attract investment.
"We will work together to make the most of the support of partners such as the European Union, the World Bank, the IMF and others, promoting the sustainable development of our country," he said.
He also stressed the importance of reinvesting profits in Mozambican territory, with a view to the well-being of the population.
