A total of 15 houses were handed over by the President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, yesterday (10.01), to Combatants with Profound Disabilities, in the district of Mueda, Cabo Delgado province.
On the occasion, Nyusi said that the handover of the houses "represents the tangible expression of a people's gratitude to their heroes".
The process of building and handing over houses to combatants is a government action, implemented by the Ministry of Combatants.
According to Josefina Mpelo, the Minister for Combatants, the aim of handing over the houses is to "guarantee dignity, comfort and safety for disabled combatants and, above all, to strengthen social justice and inclusion".
These 15 houses will be joined by 19 more built in 2020, in the Marracuene district, Maputo province.
