Former guerrillas and members of Renamo closed Renamo's National Headquarters this morning (20) and demanded that the party's National Council be held.
The members, fed up with the current state of the party, are demanding structural change and say they will only leave the headquarters after the National Council.
In an interview with the press, the demobilized members of Renamo said that the party was sinking and that they would not stop demonstrating until they saw their interests realized.
Tension between Renamo members is growing, as the former combatants insist on the need for a leadership that truly respects and represents the interests of all members.
