The private sector is taking steps to hold talks with independent presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane. The intention was expressed today in Maputo by the President of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique.
According to Agostinho Vuma, the businessmen will be able to hold talks with the other political parties this week. But in the case of Venâncio Mondlane, it will only be possible if there is authorization from the candidate.
Vuma explained that the idea of talking to Venâncio Mondlane was due to the need for him to know that he must rely on the private sector if he is to govern Mozambique one day.
The President of the CTA was speaking to journalists about the meeting between the businessmen and the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.
