The electoral platform Decide reported that 76 people died and 240 were injured in Mozambique during the 41 days of demonstrations called by presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane on October 24 against what he called "electoral fraud" and to restore the "will of the people".
According to a VOAAccording to a report released by the non-governmental organization on Monday (02), "more than 1,700 people were injured from various causes and more than 3,000 were arrested".
These figures were revealed on the day that Mondlane launched a new phase of his protests, known as 4×4, and called on people "in all the neighborhoods" to bring traffic to a standstill from 8am to 4pm.
