The OTM-Central Union in Manica is calling on the political parties to engage in dialogue in order to put an end to the demonstrations underway in the country, in protest against the results of the October 9 elections.
Quoted by Rádio Moçambique, the provincial secretary of that organization, João Dango, said that the demonstrations are causing some activities to come to a standstill, affecting families' incomes.
He urged the political parties to wait for the proclamation and validation of the election results by the Constitutional Council without resorting to violence.
The demonstrations are being called by the presidential candidate supported by the Podemos party, Venâncio Mondlane, in protest against the results of the elections held on October 9.
It should be noted that the Constitutional Council will only be able to decide on the results of the elections on December 15.
