The independent presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, defends the idea of a Government of National Unity that cuts across the brilliant minds of all political parties and civil society. For him, this is the solution to the country's current problems.

In an interview with CNN PortugalHe clarified that this idea is expressed in his election manifesto, but he must always respect the will of the electorate.

Mondlane claims victory in the presidential race for the 2024 general elections. The results released give the advantage to the Frelimo candidate, Daniel Chapo.

"This National Unity Government must give priority to the parties that ran, include people of merit and credit in civil society and people who are not part of any associative movement," he said.
