Last Tuesday (15), the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) neutralized a citizen accused of kidnapping in the city of Maputo.

At a press conference, SERNIC spokesman Hilário Lole reported that, on the same occasion, a victim was rescued in the Tchumene neighborhood, in the municipality of Matola.

Quoted by the newspaper Domingo, Hilário Lole explained that the accused left clues that facilitated the investigation, including the license plate and registration plate of the vehicle used in the kidnapping, which were crucial to his identification and capture by SERNIC.

The 47-year-old accused, meanwhile, confessed to having ordered the stamping of the registration plate used on the hijacked vehicle.
