Next week, the government will organize a special session to announce the results of the SUSTENTA project, the main programme being developed to boost the agricultural sector.
Initially launched in 2017 with the aim of integrating small farmers into agricultural production value chains, SUSTENTA was the government's flagship for boosting production and productivity in the family sector, involving various components ranging from access to improved seeds to mechanization, through facilitating access to agricultural tractors throughout the country.
According to a Terra MagazineIn the final phase of the current cycle of government, the Executive is taking positive stock of the program and promises to provide details at a special session, which will coincide with the launch of the 2024-2025 agricultural campaign.
"The balance is positive and, in relation to this balance, the government will soon be holding a special session to announce the main results and socio-economic impacts," said the spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Filimão Swaze, at the end of the 30th Ordinary Session of that body, which had the SUSTENTA balance as one of its agenda items.
