The former Mozambican head of state, Armando Emílio Guebuza, is calling on the competent authorities to find and hold accountable the real perpetrators of the murders of Elvino Dias and Paulo Guambe. Guebuza says that the forces of evil cannot be allowed to continue to instrumentalize the country and compromise national security.

In a post on his Facebook account, the former Mozambican statesman lamented the "brutal" murder of Paulo Guambe and Elvino Dias. "I met Paulo Guambe in 2020, when he came to my office with a group of ISARC students to interview me as part of a documentary film about the literary work of Filimone Meigos. Paulo spoke to me about cinema as a curricular subject and his professional projects in this area. I regret his brutal murder, as well as those who accompanied him on that fateful night," wrote Guebuza, quoted by the newspaper "The Country".

However, Armando Guebuza expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, calling on the competent authorities to find the real culprits. "We call on the competent authorities to seek out and hold accountable the real perpetrators of this macabre crime, avoiding opportunistic exploitation and chaos."
