A woman shot during the assassination of lawyer Elvino Dias and Podemos leader Paulo Guambe could be discharged from hospital at any moment, the management of Maputo Central Hospital has said.

The Director of Emergency Services at Maputo Central Hospital, Dino Lopes, said that the victim could be discharged at any moment.

Regarding the demonstrations that took place yesterday, Lopes said that the HCM had received 16 patients who were involved in the demonstrations.

Of this number, according to the source, five remain hospitalized and have fractures and traumas, while 11 have already been discharged.

The patients arrived at Maputo Central Hospital transferred from various health units, such as Polana Caniço, Mavalane General Hospital and José Macamo.

The director of the HCM's Emergency Services clarified that the unit had not recorded any deaths associated with the demonstrations.
