The Renamo party urges its members and sympathizers to distance themselves from acts that disrupt people's day-to-day activities.
The political formation encourages members not to promote violence, otherwise the image of the party and its president, Ossufo Momade, will be damaged.
In this sense, the party calls on everyone to remain calm while the results of the general elections on October 9 are released.
"It is imperative that you maintain the dignity and integrity of our leader and the party during this critical moment," says a letter from the party.
With this in mind, Renamo is asking for its delegations to be reinforced in order to protect its infrastructure in the event of skirmishes.
