The province of Gaza, southern Mozambique, won the category of best exhibiting province at the 59th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM) 2024, which closed on Saturday (01) at the Ricatla International Fairs and Exhibitions Center, located in the district of Marracuene, Maputo province.
The act took place during the closing ceremony of FACIM 2024, which was attended by the Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane.
According to a AIMSecond place in the same category went to the central province of Sofala, and third to the southern province of Inhambane.
Cabo Delgado was awarded in the category of best most informative province, followed by Maputo province, and third place went to the northern province of Niassa.
For the category of province with the most manufactured and packaged products, Nampula took first place. Second place went to Manica and third to Zambézia.
In the category of best stand management province, Tete took first place, followed by Maputo City. Sofala came third.
The Commissariat General of Mozambique Expo 2025 took the top spot for the best innovative national exhibitor and in second and last place was the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs.
In the category of best public institution, first place went to the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy. Second place went to the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources. Third place went to the Zambezi Valley Agency.
The Instituto de Gestão das Participações do Estado (IGEPE), in a unique classification, won the innovation and service excellence category.
In the category of best small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) with a manufactured product, Bio Óleos de Miombo took first place. Second and third place went to Associação Eco Micaia and Txana, respectively.
Mozambique BioFuel Industry (MBFI) Limitada won the SME revelation category in the single classification.
Quinta Omili Farm, an entity specializing in agri-livestock production, won the unique Agri-Livestock award.
In the innovation award, the Industrialization Pavilion took first place, and in second and last place was the Development Corridors Pavilion.
The prize for province of honor went to Manica and the country of honor to India.
In the category of best exhibiting country, Germany is in first place and Brazil is in second. In third place is South Africa.
In the category of best foreign exhibiting company, the first prize went to Mahabir. Shacman took second place and Trade Investment Kwazulu Natal third.
In the category of institutions taking part in FACIM for the first time, the Municipality of Marracuene won a unique award.
In the category of best innovative foreign exhibitor, Italy won the prize.
Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister explained that the awards should serve as a stimulus for exhibitors to raise the quality of their products and services even higher, as well as a source of inspiration for others on future occasions.
"We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the exhibitors who won awards in the various categories today. And congratulations to all of you!" said Maleiane.
Around 3,300 national exhibitors and 26 countries took part in the 59th edition of FACIM, which was held under the slogan "Industrialization, Innovation and Diversification of the National Economy".
