The national soccer coach, Chiquinho Conde, has released the list of the 23 players who will face Mali next week and Guinea-Bissau a few days later in Group I of the qualifying phase for CAN 2025.
The list was made public by the Mozambican Football Federation yesterday after the signing of Chiquinho Conde's contract with the FMF.
The big news in the published list is the return of Desportivo de Nacala striker Elias Macamo from the 23 players called up by the national coach.
Meanwhile, the newly naturalized Kadre, Hammed, Ejaita and Stephen, all from the Black Bulls, will be left out of this squad, after having been in the pre-qualifying squad. Clésio Baúque is the big absentee.
Here's the list of those called up:
Goalkeepers: Ernan Siluane, Fazito and Ivan Urrubal; defenders: Domingos Macandza, Bruno Langa, Infren Matola, Reinildo Mandava, Nené, Mexer and David Malembane.
Midfielders: Amadou, Guima, Pepó, Aly Abudo, Shaquille Nangy, Jonathan Muiomo, Geny Catamo, Dominguez, Wity and Gildo Vilankulo; Forwards: Stanley Ratifo and Elias Macamo.
