The construction of the Ngolhoza bus terminal, whose foundation stone was laid this Wednesday by the Governor of Maputo province, has a budget of 17 million dollars.
The terminal is being built on an area of 10 hectares. The first phase will last three months and will include the construction of a 25-meter porch and other basic services on an area of two hectares.
"The main aim of the Ngolhoza terminal is to improve the movement of people and goods in the province, reducing the distance that citizens travel to access transport services," he said, quoted by the newspaper. News the Governor of Maputo province, Manuel Tule.
The terminal is also intended to attract investment in the transport and communications sector by introducing new fleets of luxury buses on the inter-provincial route.
"The infrastructure will have complementary services such as hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, travel agencies, a police station, a health center and banking and communication services," he said.
