Four more people lost their lives yesterday as a result of a collision between two trucks in the town of 3 de Fevereiro, in Maputo province.
They are four more of the hundreds of Mozambicans who have lost their lives in this town in recent years.
Sources at the scene say that one of the trucks was coming from Inhambane to Maputo and the other was leaving Maputo for Gaza.
The driver from Inhambane, Gildo Mucavel, survived and said that everything happened quickly.
As usual, the traffic police point to speeding, but there are also reasons related to fatigue, according to the newspaper O País.
Meanwhile, INATRO is certain that fatigue continues to be a major problem on Mozambican roads, hence the call for motorists to drive with caution.
