The Japanese government will provide scholarships for the period 2025 - 2028 to civil servants in the areas of public administration, economic policy, finance, industry and investment promotion.

To this end, a Donation Agreement for the Human Resources Development Project was signed today between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo, and the Japanese Ambassador to Mozambique, Hamada Keiji.

According to a press release, Verónica Macamo will also initial the addendum to the donation agreement for the project to build secondary schools in Zambézia province with the JICA representative in Mozambique, Kazuki Otsuka.

The signing will guarantee the completion of construction work on four secondary schools in the districts of Nicoadala, Lugela, Mocuba and Namacurra in January 2026.
