In Maputo today, Renamo unveiled the names of the party members who will be running for provincial governors in the elections to be held on October 9.

"Niassa province is headed by Orlando José Leite; Cabo Delgado province by Ângela Maria Eduardo; Nampula province by Abiba Lia; Zambézia province by Manuel de Araújo; Manica province by Simone Macuiane; Sofala province by André Magibire; Tete province by Elvino Ferrão; Inhambane province by João Paulo Inácio; Gaza province by Félix Tivane and Maputo province by António Muchanga," said Renamo spokesman José Manteigas.

From the Manteigas perspective, the names put forward are well known and have already proven their leadership skills.

"There's no doubt about it. In fact, some of these people are very visible and have already shown that they are capable," he said, stressing that all Mozambican citizens are capable of contributing to building the country.
