Verónica Macamo fala sobre a paz e segurança na sede da ONU

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo, has been in the United States since yesterday, May 29, as part of Mozambique's presidency of the United Nations Security Council. 

In this context, the minister is leading the last debate of the Mozambican presidency at the Security Council, on the theme: "Maintaining international peace and security: the role of women and youth", scheduled for tomorrow, May 28.

According to the statement, in New York the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation also plans to hold talks with senior United Nations officials.

On this trip to the UN headquarters, he is accompanied by the Permanent Representative of Mozambique to the United Nations, Pedro Comissário Afonso, and by the Director of the Directorate for International Organizations and Conferences at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, José Morais.
