The National Roads Administration in Nampula has announced the opening of the metallic bridge over the Muririmue River, on the R683: Nametil/ Chalaua road.
According to the note we had access to, the reopened bridge over the Muririmue River is budgeted at around 50 million Meticais and was financed by the Mozambican government through the Road Fund.
It connects the districts of Mogovolas and Moma, in Nampula province.
It should be remembered that traffic on this road had been restricted since January 1 this year, due to the collapse of the metal bridge there, resulting from the passage of a large truck carrying timber, which caused the infrastructure to collapse.
