Mozambique could soon have a new pharmaceutical production plant to meet the needs of the country and southern Africa, writes Notícias quoting the regulatory authority.
According to the authority that regulates this sector (ANARME), the factory will be set up as a result of cooperation between Mozambique and Egypt.
This information was shared recently at a meeting between the president of the country's National Medicines Regulatory Authority (ANARME), Tania Sitoie, and Egypt's ambassador to the country, Mohamed Farghal, according to the newspaper.
The aim of the meeting was, among other things, to improve cooperation mechanisms in order to strengthen the response capacity of the National Health Service (SNS), particularly in the medicines production sector.
"ANARME is optimistic about the proposal to set up a plant to produce medicines in our country," said Sitoie.
To this end, the institution will share the list of essential drugs with the Egyptian Embassy for socialization.
