By April 13, the National Electoral Commission (CNE) had already registered 5,304,110 voters, which corresponds to 70,78% of the 7,494,011 voters planned for this census.
With 12 days to go until the end of the process, the CNE recalled that 16,217,816 people are expected to be registered for the next elections, including the 8,723,805 registered last year in districts with municipalities and cities.
Thus, cumulatively, 14,027,915 were registered, corresponding to 86,50%, according to a CNE document to which we have had access.
Voter registration is taking place in the country and abroad in a calm manner and with satisfactory coverage in terms of the numbers achieved so far, looking at the projections established, although we have the difficulties imposed by the insecurity situation in Cabo Delgado Province, we read.
