The Institute for Safety at Sea, INAMAR, warns that maritime safety procedures must be observed in the coastal districts of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane provinces.

The alert follows an announcement by the National Meteorological Institute, which predicts moderate to heavy rain (over 50 millimeters) with thunderstorms starting this Friday.

In a statement that MZNews has seen, INAMAR says not to go into the sea and inland waters during the period when the phenomenon is hitting the affected regions, until there is updated information from the competent authorities.
