Manica: More than twenty thousand inhabitants will benefit from drinking water

In Manica province, twenty-four thousand inhabitants will benefit from drinking water this semester, following the completion of eighty boreholes to supply the liquid.

Quoted by Rádio Moçambique, Flávio Manuel, the provincial director of Public Works in Manica, said that the works were about 90% complete.

According to the source, the new boreholes equipped with hand pumps will raise the drinking water supply coverage rate from 59.6 to over 60%.

Around 45 million meticais were invested in the project.

The boreholes in question, with hand pumps, are located in the districts of Machaze, Macossa, Macate, Vanduzi, Bárue, Guro and Tambara, in the province of Manica.
