Tete: Malnutrition killed 16 children in 2023

At least sixteen children died last year in Tete province due to malnutrition, the province's health authorities said.

The data was presented in the village of Songo, in the district of Cahora Bassa, by the director of health in Tete, Alex Perdile, at the debriefing meeting of the Malnutrition program, according to Rádio Mocambique.

The representative of the Ministry of Health, Cátia Mangujo, pointed to social inequalities, environmental crises and health epidemics as the main factors contributing to malnutrition.
