Instagram has announced that social media users will be able to edit private messages already sent to other contacts.

According to a note from the company, quoted by News to the MinuteThis editing should take place within 15 minutes of sending. Simply press and hold the message you want to edit and the option will appear in a small menu. When you edit the message, a label will appear indicating that the message has been changed after it has been sent.

Meanwhile, in addition to this capability, Instagram has also announced that Instagram users will have the ability to pin up to three conversations to the top of edited messages.

It's important to note that these new features are included in the latest update for Instagram and, given that it's being rolled out gradually, it may take some time for it to reach all users.
