At least four individuals are being held to account by the Republic of Mozambique Police (PRM) in the city of Nampula, accused of stealing goods from the facilities of the sending and receiving center at Nampula International Airport.
According to the head of the PRM's Public Relations department in the Nampula provincial command, Dércio Samuel, the act took place on Sunday (11), and the individuals seized six bed bases.
Quoted by the Ikweli portal, the police say that the individuals used blunt instruments to get inside the infrastructure, an activity that was successful thanks to the cooperation of the security guard on duty.
"The individuals, now in the cells of the 3rd Police Station, confessed that they had been invited to commit the crime with a guard from that center in order to steal the goods," explained the PRM spokesman.
