In the new municipality of Marracuene, in Maputo province, the African Development Bank (AfDB) will finance 39 million dollars in construction and rehabilitation work on some access roads.

The new mayor of the town of Marracuene, Shafee Sidat, guarantees that road works could start within a hundred days, according to Rádio Mocambique.

These are four projects involving the Dom Alexandre, Mateque/Facim and Mali/Santa Isabel roads in Maputo province.

The Mayor of Marracuene also said that the processes for launching the tenders to find the contractors who will carry out the work are currently being finalized.
