Renamo denounces political intolerance in the Civil Service

Renamo denuncia intolerância política na Função Pública

This morning, 02.02, the Renamo party denounced alleged "discrimination against employees" in the Civil Service because of their party preferences.

The complaint comes after seven teachers complained of arbitrary transfers in Vilankulo, Inhambane province, allegedly for political reasons

The party's spokesman, José Manteigas, quoted by O País, agrees with the professionals' theory and goes on to say: "the decision by the District Education Services in Vilankulo represents a manifest attitude of political intolerance and goes against the spirit of inclusion, citizenship and political participation that we all strive for".

According to Renamo, these transfers have no legal basis and it says that "they were signed by an official from the District Services Secretariat" without consulting those affected.
