The President of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries reiterated yesterday the possibility of sending a mission of good offices to Guinea-Bissau in the face of the political crisis in that country, writes the newspaper "O País".
This Friday, the president of the CPLP, who is also the president of São Tomé and Príncipe, said that although the organization has not yet received information directly from Guinea-Bissau about what is happening there, it has been in contact with other countries and some heads of state in order to find a joint solution.
"During our presidency, we will do everything we can to ensure that there is an atmosphere of dialogue between the member countries and we will see what action can be taken, but any action will be taken by the Executive Secretariat and the other member states," added the São Toméan head of state, quoted by the newspaper.
