More than four thousand miners will come to the festivities by air

For the first time in history, four thousand Mozambican miners who live and work in different mines in South Africa will return to the country for the Christmas and New Year's holidays by air.

For this purpose, the Filipe Jacinto Nyusi airport in Gaza province will be used, according to the newspaper Notícias, quoting airport director Jacinto Mudaca.

"We launched this route for the festive season. The indicative price of the ticket, round trip, is 3000 thousand rands (around ten thousand meticais)," said Jacinto Mudaca

"Our bet is that the route will be maintained for years to come, so that our fellow citizens have fast, safe and comfortable journeys," he said, as quoted by the newspaper.

According to the source, the air option will bypass the usual flooding at the Ressano Garcia border crossing, saving the waiting time to enter national territory and reach the destination.
