This morning, the trial began of 17 more young people who took part in the Renamo march in Maputo city, which challenged the results of the local elections that gave victory to the Frelimo party.
They are charged with association to obstruct the public highway, carrying homemade bombs and vandalizing public and private property.
The hearing, which is taking place in the Second Criminal Chamber of the Maputo City Judicial Court, was closed to the press, but the relatives of the detainees were present in the courtroom.
The individuals were arrested last Friday during the riots in Maputo city, when Renamo protested against the election results released by the CNE.
